New Zealand Aged-Care Expansion Expected to Create 25 Jobs

On 3 November, the Government confirmed that the NZ$13.9 million O’Conor Home expansion in Westport is expected to require approximately 25 additional staff for its new 24-bed wing. Separately, Stats NZ reported on 4 November that unemployment reached 5.7% in the September quarter, with average ordinary-time hourly earnings at NZ$44.86.
